One of the items on my ever growing "to do" list was to have Picatinny rails made for the Encore's. When I discovered EGW was already making them for Encore and Contender, a few extended phone calls to the owner and I knew that I found the right company to supply us with these. Not only are they providing us an outstanding product, we are working with them on some custom modifications based on the knowledge we've gained installing scope bases for our customers.
In the meantime, I'm stocking all models for the T/C's and have the ability to order their scope bases for your other applications, just let me know what you need. We are also able to provide custom installation with your barrel purchase, drilled/tapped 6th screw installs costing $79 installed with our pillar system on standard contour barrels and standard 6 hole spacing on full/bull contour barrels.. This installed price includes the cost of the base and is a special order item only. The mounts listed below are only for the 4 hole standard spacing, if you want installed on your existing barrel with additional screw holes the order needs to be setup with my father, MIKE BELLM, see Barrel Work EFFECTIVE page below. Also consider buy a new barrel and having us install for you which is a special order item and I can take care of that for you, just call me.
These TC mounts are made specific to the gun, and will fit both rifles and pistols with the standard 4 hole mounting holes. Mounts are available with a 0 or 20 MOA. Zero M.O.A. is generally used for shooting 0 – 600 Yards depending on your scope and caliber. 20 M.O.A. is generally used for shooting 600 – 1000 + yards depending on your scope and caliber. At 100 yards, one M.O.A. is about 1" (slightly more).
The scope mount cants downward at 20 M.O.A., which will allow you to zero your gun at a greater distance.
At 600 yards, a 20 M.O.A mount will point the scope down .120” or point the barrel up depending on your perspective. One M.O.A. = 1" at 100 yards or 6 inches at 600 yards. 20 M.O.A. = 200 inches at 1000 yards.
Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount, weighing in at 2-3oz on average. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. EGW’s one piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike.
Works with Weaver and Picatinny rings, suggest either the Durasights or for the ultimate in security, see our Weaver Tactical rings page.
Available in matte black. Made in the USA.
Installation: EGW recommends 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite or Weaver thread locker.
